Brugge 'Venice of the North'
Escape Paris for a day and head to the capital of the West Flanders region of Flemish Belgium. The full-day tour, which includes round-trip transfers from the center of Paris, will take you to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bruges, also known as the 'Venice of the North'. Enjoy a guided walk through the historically rich center, as well as other attractions such as the Gothic-style Town Hall, the ornate Renaissance architecture of Place du Bourg, and the 12th-century Basilique du Saint-Sang (Basilica of the Holy Blood). Free time will be set aside for lunch at a local restaurant where you can enjoy Belgian specialties such as traditional moules frites (mussels and fries) and a wide variety of Belgian beers. You can shop for handmade lace and Belgian chocolates in the city's boutique shops. During the summer season, follow your guide's recommendations if you want to enjoy a boat trip on some of Bruges' most famous canals, built in a history dating back to the 12th century. After a delightful day, we return to Paris.
